Terms & Conditions
Instructorly.me · Effective September 17, 2026
Who you are contracting with
Instructorly is a scheduling platform for virtual instructors and professionals, provided by Instructorly.me ("Instructorly", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Instructorly.me. It lets students book short one-on-one sessions during blocks an instructor has made available, join a virtual waiting room, and receive reminders by email and text message.
By creating an account, booking a session, purchasing a plan, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Instructorly on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement.
Ownership and your licence
Instructorly.me owns the service and everything in it — the software, design, documentation, name, logo, and other intellectual property. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected, for as long as your account is in good standing.
You may not copy, resell or redistribute the service, reverse engineer it, or work around its technical limits. You keep ownership of the content you put into Instructorly, and you grant us the limited right to host and process it only to provide the service to you.
Plans, pricing, and payment
Instructors pay for Instructorly; students are never charged. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page: Basic at $5 per month (free for the first 90 days for brand new instructors), Starter at $10 per month or $100 per year, and Pro at $15 per month or $150 per year. Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period and are not prorated or refunded. You can cancel at any time from your plan page, and your plan stays active through the period you have paid for. We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for our 30-day money-back guarantee.
Accounts
Students are added by their instructor and sign in with the email address or mobile number on file. Instructors claim their own accounts and are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, availability, and roster. You are responsible for keeping your contact details current, since reminders and session notices are sent to the email and phone number on your profile.
Booking and readiness
Sessions are booked in the order requests are received, one pending booking per student. When you book, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate:
- A Welcome Call must be attended by the student and, for new students, a parent or guardian. If a parent cannot be present, the call must be rescheduled.
- Certain DBA sessions require a passing grade on the prerequisite assignment. If you do not meet the prerequisite, the session will be canceled and must be rescheduled.
- For DBA sessions that require notes, drafts, or assigned reading, have those materials ready at the start of your session.
If a session cannot proceed as booked — for example, a required participant is absent or a prerequisite is not met — the instructor may cancel it and ask you to reschedule. This does not count against you, but repeated unreadiness may lead your instructor to limit booking.
Waiting room
When your window opens, you join the virtual waiting room. Your place is held while you stay in the browser; leaving the page may move you to the back of the line or mark you a no-show. Wait times shown are estimates, not guarantees. If you are not present when the instructor calls your name, the instructor may mark the session a no-show, and the time slot may be offered to the next student.
Audio calls and recording
Sessions are held by voice — in your browser, by phone, or on a meeting link your instructor provides. If talking in the browser isn't working, isn't turned on, or you prefer not to use it, your instructor's backup method is always shown on your session page so you know exactly how the call will happen.
By using Instructorly you acknowledge that audio calls and their recordings may be made and kept by your instructor or school as part of your session record, in line with your school's policies.
Your information — including recordings, contact details, and session records — is never sold, and is never shared with any third party without your explicit permission. We share it only with your instructor and school, and with the service providers needed to run scheduling, email, and text messages on our behalf, or where the law requires it.
Session integrity and academic honesty
Sessions and assessments booked through Instructorly must be completed by you, on your own, without outside help unless your instructor says otherwise. Do not use other applications, devices, people, or AI tools to obtain answers during a session or while waiting for one.
To hold your place in line, confirm you are present, and support academic honesty, Instructorly records basic activity signals from the page you have open — for example, whether the page is still open, when it last responded, whether it is in view or in the background, and your responses to anything shown on it. These signals are kept with your session record, are available to your instructor and school, and may be considered alongside other evidence in an academic integrity review. By using Instructorly you consent to this. If a parent or guardian must be present for a session, you confirm they are.
Cancellations and no-shows
You may reschedule or cancel through your session page. Instructors may cancel or reschedule sessions when unavailable. Booking rules — how far in advance you may book and how many pending bookings are allowed — are set by your instructor. No-shows and cancellations are recorded in the instructor's session history.
Text messages and consent
If texting is enabled for you, Instructorly sends scheduling-related messages only: sign-in codes, booking reminders, "it's your turn" notices, and wait-time notices. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. See our Privacy Policy for full details of the text message program and how consent is collected.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to the service for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. You may stop using the service or close your account at any time. After access ends we keep session records as described in our Privacy Notice and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes will be handled by the courts located there.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: don't attempt to access other users' accounts or data, disrupt the waiting room or queue for other students, book times you don't intend to attend, or use the platform for anything unrelated to scheduling sessions. Your instructor may remove you from their roster for misuse, and we may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk.
Availability of the service
We work to keep Instructorly available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is." Reminders and notifications can be delayed or undeliverable — for example, if a phone carrier blocks a message — so do not rely on them as your only reminder. The contents and outcome of any session are the responsibility of the instructor and student holding it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be communicated to instructors, who share them with their students.
